Private by construction.

Microphone access is optional and requested only after you choose Mic or Record. SignalMetric processes short sample windows in memory to calculate digital level, loudness, spectrum, waveform, dominant frequency and rhythm estimates.

• Normal Mic audio is not written to a file.
• Normal Mic audio is not uploaded or transmitted.
• Normal Mic audio is discarded after the current analysis window.
• Demo remains available without microphone access.

SignalMetric records only after you tap Record. A red state and elapsed timer remain visible. Stopping or interrupting recording finalizes a local M4A in the app's private Application Support storage.

A recording leaves the app only when you explicitly choose a destination in the iOS share sheet. You can delete recordings individually; removing the app also removes them.

When you open an audio file, SignalMetric copies it into a protected one-item cache for local playback and analysis. Importing another item removes the older cached import. Imported audio is not uploaded.

In versions with measurement saving, saved readings, spectra, measurement conditions and any notes you enter remain in the app's private local storage until you delete them or remove the app. Saving a measurement does not upload it or create an audio recording.

When you explicitly export a measurement, the report is written to the destination you select. Reports do not automatically include audio samples, source file paths or device identifiers. Review any names or notes you choose to include before sharing.

If you choose iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider handles the exported file under its own policies. SignalMetric does not independently upload measurement reports to Monoware.

If you submit the in-app or website feedback form, SignalMetric sends the selected category, title, description, email address and limited non-sensitive version context to Monoware Support over HTTPS.

Feedback is used to respond to support requests and improve the product. It is not used for advertising or tracking. Do not include audio, passwords, access tokens, payment details, customer data or private logs.

The selected instrument, response, appearance and onboarding completion state are stored locally. These preferences contain no audio, measurement history or account identity.

The SignalMetric website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking script. A language preference may be stored in your browser. A network request to Monoware Support occurs only when you submit feedback.
